MASTER newsletter 4th issue September 2018
Virgen del Pasico School is a partner in an Erasmus+
school-to-school project in which pupils and teachers will learn about how to
use metacognitive strategies in the teaching-learning process and help all of
them to inprove in their tasks.
The fourth meeting in Crete,
Greece
We met in Chania, Crete, Greece from 29th September to 5th
October 2018.
We were the coordinator from each partner country and an accompaining
teacher and 4 or five students, we were from Denmark, Finland, Spain and
Sweden.
Saturday was the arrival day and students went to their hosts’ houses
and spent all Sunday with them and their families. Teachers went to the hotel
and on Sunday went to isti some nice places on the area.
On Monday we started with the welcoming at school by the Greek
coordinator and the headmaster; followed by some getting to know each other
games; each country presentation of country, town and school and some sport and
dance activities.
On Wednesday students took part on Culture and technology activities and
an interactive game in the old town, which help them to know the town better.
On Thursday students took part on an activity on food and nutrition,
they had to prepare a dish for the farewell party in the evening.
Each of these days teachers had meeting in the afternoon to organize the
activities teachers and students have to do for the next mobility in Finland,
we also set the dates for the mobilities in Finland and Sweden and discuss all
the topics about the project.
Cultural activities.
We also had time to visit the old city in Chania and had dinner all
together in different restaurants in town, when we could socialize and get to
know each other better.
On Tuesday students and teachers together went to visit an old Greek
theatre Ancient Aptera where students had the chance to perform on an old
theatre stage. Then we went to Imbros Gorge, where we all had the chance to
walk and experience Cretan nature, after that we went to the beach to swim and
relax. It was a great experience.
It was a great experience and we are looking forward to the next meeting
in Finland.
