Objectives

  • Our overall objective is to improve students’ results and teachers’ performance in the classroom and to create a resource bank for teaching metacognitive strategies to pupils.
  • The objectives that we will address for teachers are;
  • Adopt new methods and tools to implement feedback and metacognitive techniques in planning and carrying out teaching and dealing with challenging classrooms situations.
  • The objectives that we will address for students are:
  • Teach students metacognitive strategies for learning such as;
  • Setting learning goals and plans to achieve them.
  • Learning different techniques for problem solving, reading comprehension, critical thinking.
  • Focus selective attention and optimize working memory
  • Monitoring their own learning progress.
  • Learning strategies for self- monitoring and learning with peers.
  • Transferring metacognitive strategies to other areas in life.
