Objectives

Our overall objective is to improve students’ results and teachers’ performance in the classroom and to create a resource bank for teaching metacognitive strategies to pupils.
The objectives that we will address for teachers are;
Adopt new methods and tools to implement feedback and metacognitive techniques in planning and carrying out teaching and dealing with challenging classrooms situations.
The objectives that we will address for students are:
Teach students metacognitive strategies for learning such as;
Setting learning goals and plans to achieve them.
Learning different techniques for problem solving, reading comprehension, critical thinking.
Focus selective attention and optimize working memory
Monitoring their own learning progress.
Learning strategies for self- monitoring and learning with peers.
Transferring metacognitive strategies to other areas in life.
